As a little girl my hope was to be a Puppy Walker for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and I never forgot that dream. After retiring in 2003, I acquired Scout, a Labrador/Golden Retriever puppy, bred from a long line of Guide Dogs to raise for the Guide Dog Foundation. To that end I attended Puppy Walkers group training classes and also received individual instruction from The Guide Dog Foundation. Working with Scout brought home to me that training dogs was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

Then, in 2005 having moved to Elizabeth, Colorado, I volunteered at the Dumb Friends League and subsequently joined their staff in the Behavior Department. Working for this wonderful organization has enabled me to gain more in-depth training in Learning Theory and Animal Behavior. In 2009 I left the Dumb Friends League to create my own dog training business, Double Dog, LLC.

I continually update my education attending animal behavior and dog training seminars.

I participate and train in two dog sports, K9 Nose Work® and Barn Hunt. Please check the calendar for current classes.

In addition to my business, I volunteer with the Westie Rescue Network.

My goal is to help promote a warm and loving relationship between humans and this wonderful animal, the dog, who chooses to join us in our journey through life.
